As the first model in our new 2020 Shift R line, the R5 27.5" model is the perfect combination of frame design and components to start shredding the trails. Built around our new 4-bar linkage frame with up-to-date geometry and proprietary X6 aluminum tubing, the new Shift R5 features a steeper seat tube angle for more efficient pedaling, a slacker head tube angle (at 67 degrees) and a longer reach for an improved riding position. With 120mm of rear travel and 130mm of front suspension provided by X-Fusion and Suntour respectively, the Shift R5, with its newly updated 2021 Shimano Deore 11-speed components and 11-51T cassette, provides a smooth ride up or down the trails, with a wide-range gear ratio and precise, crisp shifting.
